About Me

I was born in State College, PA, and raised in Raleigh, NC, as the youngest of two. My sister and I are first-generation Americans; our parents emigrated from Burundi in pursuit of the American dream.

To show my appreciation for the opportunities I've had, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after high school, serving overseas in South Korea. Afterward, I studied Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, aided by the GI Bill, and transitioned into the private sector as a healthcare project manager in the payer space.

In my role, I collaborated across departments to address a variety business challenges, facilitate change management, manage teams, and optimize operations. My passion lies in solving problems and unlocking human potential.

During this time, I pursued my MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business on a part-time basis. Balancing a full-time job, I flew from Raleigh, NC to Chicago, IL every Saturday to learn from world-class educators in finance, accounting, and management theory.

Now, Iā€™m eager to leverage my experiences by acquiring an existing business where I can build and develop a strong team in a vibrant community that I can call home.
